Margdarshan – 03 a National Seminar on Industry
Institute Interface was organized on 20th Sept,
2003. The chief guest on the event was Mr. Faiz.
M. Ali, President, Raymond and the chairperson
was Dr. K. Subramanian Adisor, AICTE, presided
as the chairperson.
The
topic for the first technical session : Expectations
of the industry from management students
wherein eminent comprising of Mr. Suman Gupta,
Zonal head North, Ranbaxy (Solus), Mr. A. R. Banerjee,
Chief Financial controller UB group, Mr. Alok
Bhattacharya Head HR Sriram Pistons and Rings
Ltd. The theme for the second technical
session was : The existing opportunities
and growth prospects of Indian managers wherein
speakers comprising Dr. Y. V. Verma Vice President
HR & MS LG, Mr. P.K. Gupta, Director Legato
Sys. India, Mr. Kuldeep Sharma Chief Executive
Suruchi consultants, Mr. M. K. Batta, Sr.Manager,
Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Ltd.
The
student coordinators for the event are- Rohan
Manchanda, Ambikesh singh, Ila, Sukhbinder Singh
Brar, Kumar Shaiwal, Kapil Vaidya, Ramesh Yadav,
Vikas Sarna, Yeshudas, Sandeep Patil, Rajan Shinde,
Kundan Dighe, Prem Prakash Shankar, Sunil Tikoo,
Nidhi Verma, Parul Mishra, Rabia Dhodhy, Mritunjay
Sharma, Avez to name a few. Ms. Kirti Sharma,
the faculty event co-ordinator wore the crown
on the successful completion of the event. |

Jagriti ’03 is an initiative
to create awareness towards quality circles. It
is a corporate level competition organized by
the institute in which quality circle teams are
invited from different sectors to give presentations
on real life cases solved by them in their respective
organizations. The Chief guest on the occasion
was Hon’ble Shri. Arjun Singh, Former Union
Minister, Govt. of India.
Teams from Hero Honda, Parle,
Sandhar, Asahi India, Uniglobe Airways, Metzler
Motors, Automax Motors participated in the one
day event. As far as the advantage to the student
community is concerned, Jagriti helped in giving
a clear understanding in the concepts and modus
operandi of quality circles and gain an insight
in many quality related aspects. Judges from QCFI
and ICS emphasized the utility of Quality Circles
in the industrial world. Mr. S.N.Haque was the
faculty event co-ordinator and was assisted by
the student coordinators - Manisha Sharma, Vivek
Dhawan, Reena Sharma, Alok Kumar, Abhimanyu Jain,
Parimal Borkar, Sony Anthony, Abhimanyu Kumar,
Anshul Sinha, Pushpa, Preeti Manik, Sweta Patro,
Shalini, Purujit, Arijit, Sumit Singh to name
a few.
