From the Editor’s Desk

Today, professionals the world over are facing an unprecedented challenge to restore investors and public confidence. The importance of ethical practices, integrity and credibility for professionals has never been as acute as it is today. The changing corporate milieu in the context of global transformation, desires us to be both innovative and adaptive to enhance our visibility and marketability. This requires a clearly laid down vision statement and to achieve the defined mission.

The vision statement for the institution is “Leadership in professional education through innovation and excellence” and the mission statement is “Fostering a conducive learning ecosystem of students, faculty and industry, germinating capable, upright managers and entrepreneurs who contribute meaningfully to industry and society”.

As was in the past, BVIMR has laid major emphasis in organizing various national level seminars such as Paristhiti – 04, Milap – 04 and Renaissance – 04 to name a few. The institute on its part is endeavoring to provide for its students more expanded exposure as the focus of all these national level events was on practical aspects of management education. It has received wide appreciation from all the concerned and particularly well taken by the student fraternity.

With the development of global markets, there has been tremendous competition. Corporates no longer compete domestically or regionally but globally. With the hardening of competitive environment, the importance of reaching standards of professional excellence be it for individuals, institutions or corporates is of paramount necessity. This has to be viewed in the context of a strategic asset.
