The
proceedings of National Level Seminar on Corporate
Social Responsibility was released on 13th Sept.
2003 by the hands of Hon’bleDr. Shivajirao
Kadam, Secretary, Bharati Vidyapeeth & Pro-Vice
Chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth Demmed University.
The papers presented at the Seminar were compiled
and edited by the Director Dr. S.S.Vernekar &
Dean Dr. S. Taneja. The motto behind publication
is to share the resource papers presented with
all the corporate and academic institutions. Hon’ble
Dr. Shivajirao Kadam highlighted the relevance
of Corporate Social Responsibility as the cure
to many of the social needs.

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Insitute
of Management & Research, New Delhi organized
a one-day seminar on “Dynamics of Success”
on 6th September 2003. The guest speakers were
Mr. Subhash Jagota, Executive Director, Punj Lloyd
& Mr. Girish Vir, HR Executive, Punj Lloyd
(Alumni BVIMR).
Director of the Institute Dr. S.S. Vernekar in
the inaugural session spoke about essential attributes
of a successful manager.
Success is not achieved by luck or fate. For success,
clear goal & persistent action is required.
Knowing your team members, their strengths and
working together in tandem is the way corporate
do their businesses in the present day scenario.
He advised that observation should rule over suggestion.
Selecting perfect individuals with positive attitude
and potential to grow should be the milestone
for the corporate. The focus of management should
shift from job seekers to job givers.
Begin with the end in mind i.e. a clear vision
leads to goal setting which in turn sets the path
for success. Removing negative influence from
the person’s life and making people around
you comfortable, by giving due value to individuals
builds the persons brand image. Developing individuals
builds the persons brand image. Developing individual
identity through uniqueness and not just by academic
excellence.
All the faculty members and students of MBA, MPM,
MCM, PGDBM & MMS programs attended the event
and it was good learning experience all the way.

On
16th sept. 2003 BVIMR exemplified its concern
for the society at large, by celebrating World
Ozone Day. The Chief Guest for the function was
Dr. Anil Kumar, an eminent person from the Dept.
of Environment, Govt. of NCT, New Delhi. Dr. Anil
Kumar in his speech narrated the vitality of ozone
level and various operand is to protect it from
depletion He spoke about the “Bhagidari
Project”, Consumer’s duty & Institute
level activities.
After the session Dr. Kumar planted a sapling
to mark the plantation drive carried out by BVIMR.
