Ozone Day Decoration at the Amphitheatre
Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Research, New Delhi organized the International Ozone Day on 15th September, 2018 to spread awareness about depletion of the Ozone layer and for the preservation of the Ozone Layer, commemorating the date when the Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the Ozone Layer was signed in 1987. The day was first celebrated on September 16, 1995.
The event started from the inaugural ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by our honorable director Dr. Vikas Nath followed by felicitation of our guest of honor Dr. Ravi Bansal. Our honorable director Dr. Vikas Nath then took the rostrum to spread awareness about what is happening in the environment and how we can protect the ozone layer.
The Ozone Day comprised of surfeit of events organized by the students coordinators and supported by the Faculties endeavor to achieve the aim of creating awareness about the need to preserve the Ozone Layer and the ecosystem. The theme of all the events were in the context of the Ozone day and to jolt all the students to increase their efforts to address the challenges.
The various events of the day were, Selfie with nature, Environmental Quiz, Rangoli Making, Ad Mad, Best out of waste, poster making, face painting, Eco Plan, Debate etc.
