VIKSHIT BHARAT 2047 on 29 March 2024

The Department of Law Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be university) (off Campus) New Delhi has organized an event under the flagship of the Director, Hon'ble Prof. Dr. Yamini Agarwal, 'VIKSHIT BHARAT 2047', which embarked on a journey towards a developed India by the year 2047, marking 100 years of our independence. Its purpose was to emphasize and provide critical insight to students & other audiences into India's economic progress, social development, environmental sustainability, and other factors required for a developed nation. Prof. Dr. Yamini Agarwal opened the ceremony by welcoming the honorable guests. Dr. Reena Gupta, Head of the Law Department, also provided some wise remarks during the icebreaking session. The programme was graced by Dr. V.K. Singh, a Senior Bureaucrat and academician with 35 years of expertise in several subjects of law. He discussed in his remarks various factors relating to economic growth and criticized how an individual is controlling the whole economic status of India. The other guest speaker was Dr. Anuj Kumar Baksha , a professor with a profound dedication to advancing knowledge & innovation, at the University of Delhi. He outlined the achievements of India in literacy, health, agricultural production, infrastructure development, and required political strategies that will help in the development of the country. He also discussed the challenges before the Country. Followed by another Speaker Ms. Shweta Bharati who is a legal professional with over 22 years of enriched experience, and is the Managing Partner at Hammurabi & Solomon Partners. She highlighted the effect of gender neutrality and defined the terms Sovereign, Socialist, and Republic. All guests were honoured with tokens of gratitude. Overall, the event highlighted key pillars for India's progress and featured valuable perspectives from experts across various fields which were very helpful to know both sides the students & audiences. How to Crack the Judicial Services Examination on March 22, 2024

On March 22, 2024, The Department of Law Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be university) (off Campus) New Delhihosted a session organized by its Law Placement Cell, featuring Dr. Archana Sinha, a former judge, as the guest speaker. The session aimed to enlighten students about cracking the Judicial Services Examination and the significance of a judiciary career. Dr. Archana Sinha commenced the session by highlighting the significance of the judiciary and the challenges associated with pursuing a career in this field:

She reassured students that becoming a judge through the Judicial Services Examination is achievable with dedication and perseverance. Furthermore, she underscored the pivotal role judges play in shaping society and emphasized the importance of diligence and integrity in judicial conduct, imparting invaluable wisdom to the aspiring legal minds in attendance.

The Law Placement Cell expressed gratitude to Dr. Archana Sinha for her enlightening discourse by presenting her with a gesture of appreciation. This gesture acknowledged her invaluable contribution to the students' understanding of the legal profession, recognizing the significance of her insights and expertise shared during the session.


Re-Orientation Programme For BBA LLB Students on August 14, 2023

Department of Law, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) (off Campus) New Delhi organized a Re-Orientation Programme for BBA LLB students on August 14, 2023, The guest speaker was Mr. Ajay Bhatia, Addl. Superintendent (Prisons), Mandoli, Delhi. He guided the students in his discourse on prisons overall, daily routines of prisoners, the life of prisoners, and numerous activities for them in jail, as well as some innovative practices such as Vipassana (meditation), open and semi-open prisons for them, the foundations of punishment, and the development of punishment. How education is being used by the jail administration to reform prisons with the assistance of IGNOU. How convicts are offered opportunities for personality development such as singing, dancing Rangoli, and so on, and how they are kept engaged in the same small industry in jail that creates furniture, clothes, and so many other articles. He explained how professional psychological counseling is given to prisoners to overcome depression. He advised on the legal profession, which is associated with convicts. He presented two highly interesting & informative jail documentaries, which helped the students get the expected insights. Ms. Neha Garg of the law faculty was the main organiser & she coordinated the event.


Re-Orientation Programme

Department of Law, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Institute of Management and Research, New Delhi organised Re-Orientation programme for the students of LLB & BBALLB. We were honoured to have Hon’ble Former standing council GNCT of Delhi Advocate Mr. Vivek Kumar Tondon as our guest of honour. He shared his legal knowledge and life experiences with us. We all get inspired from the journey of their life, the lesson we all learnt from them is to do the hard work with sincerity and the success will surely come your way. They enlightened us that hard work is the name of constant trying until the goal is achieved. Their words of wisdom inspired students to strive for perfection. Also, he guided our students about the various opportunities in the legal field available after doing LLB. We're energized, enlightened, and ready to embrace the challenges ahead.

Department of Law, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Institute of Management & Research (BVIMR)- Department of Law organised Workshop on How to make Research Proposal for Granting Agencies on 18th July 2023. Prof. (Dr.) Ritu Gupta, Professor NLU Delhi delivered an enlightening session on how to make research proposal so that funding can be achieved through granting agencies.

Mam explained in detail about research methodology that discusses and explains the data collection and analysis methods you used in your research. A key part of the research proposal, the methodology chapter explains what you did and how you did it, allowing readers to evaluate the reliability and validity of your research and your dissertation topic.

It should include:
    The type of research you conducted
    How you collected and analysed your data
    Any tools or materials you used in the research
    How you mitigated or avoided research biases
    Why you chose these methods

She also enlightened about the sampling methods and techniques. The session was very interactive as the faculty members came to know about the prerequisites of making a good research proposal. She also enlightened us about probability and non-probability sampling, Qualitative and Quantitative methods


World Environment Day 2023 Celebration

Department of Law, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Institute of Management and Research, New Delhi celebrated the World Environment Day (#BeatPlasticPollution) on 05 June, 2023. This event is also registered under the United Nation Environment Programme. The guest of Honour for this programme was Prof. (Dr.) R. Venkata Rao Former vice Chancellery, National Law School of India University, Bangalore. This event was organized by Ms. Neha Garg, Mr. Gaurav Gupta and Ms. Manjusha Department of Law, BVIMR, New Delhi.


Guest talk by Hon'ble Justice Mr. Sudhir Kumar Jain, Judge Delhi High Court.

Hon' ble Justice Mr. Sudhir Kumar Jain, Judge Delhi High Court visited the BVIMR Campus on 23rd April 2022 and delivered a guest talk on the topic "Mediation: An Innovative Tool For Substantial Justice" Dr. Yamini Agarwal, Director BVIMR New Delhi has chaired the session. The organizers of the event were Dr Reena Gupta ,Mr Shubham Mishra and Ms Yatika Gupta.
